Just saw Anthony Valencia has beefed up to 86kg for the Pan Ams OG qualifier the week after Pan Ams champs. There are four realistic hopefuls in that bracket so he needs to win at least one big match, probably two.

Key competition will be Torreblanco and Ramos while Izquierdo and Ceballos are definite threats for one of the two spots.

It beats the alternative of trying to cut all the way down to 74? Zahid came in under for 86 and wayyy under for 92 so he probably thinks he could pull it off as well. Of course the real solution is 10 weights at the olympics but that's not happening for 2024.
