Was Penn State winning with 55 points more than second place Iowa the biggest winning margin in NCAA history?

If not which teams have had a bigger point differential?

Thirteenth by percentage

But one needs take care comparing across eras. First place has been devalued over the years as more places score and the scoring per place has been adjusted.

So if you limit the comparison to equivalent scoring regimes, then this weekend's performance is only behind John Smith's 2005 OSU team.

Beautiful work as always.

Thank you for the information. Nice to see the records even with different scoring through the decades.

A lot like "Who was better - Yojo or Cael" when looking at records.
