That happens as is.  The brackets are often blown up in the early rounds.  Carr went down early last year; how many fringe AAs did he send home empty handed?

One. He beat Jared Franek (6 seed) in the blood round. Before that he beat Wyatt Sheets (31 seed) on the back side.
