Zhamalov loses to kid from Japan

Olympic champ zhamalov moved up to 79 for Asian championships and lost 5-3 to 20 year old from ( his dad Iranian) Kevyan gharehdaghi…, is this kid the real deal as in medal threat watch out Levi/ our 79kg rep ? That’s a weight I thought is up for grabs and we could win this year …..

I couldn’t get a good gage but I thought Zhamalov just didn’t perform well / look good in there…and not this kid being a young phenom 

Also my boy sujeet sujeet looks real good these days …. Amazoud and weren’t there so we’ll see later this year but I think sujeet wins gold this year.. as a whole had a great tournament for some reason ..

Agree on Sujeet Joey has been wrestling super well and Sujeet just killed him twice. I thought Zhamolov looks slow/out of shape and his timing was not where it normally is. Seemed like he probably just showed up to wrestle I would expect if he is at worlds for him to be at 74 and in good form. Gharehdaghi has probably gotten a lot better, but he lost at u20's just last year to a guy who Amit and Henckel both beat so I will need to see a lot more out of him before I think he is a real factor at 79kg.

Sujeet has always been the truth, but he just never stays on the gas. He should medal, but I just can't see him putting together a full tournament.


Also Zhamalov's at 79kg just isn't the same guy. He's a tough out, but he can be "gotten" great result though for Japan.....

Excited for worlds this year!
