had a kid in folk HS state finals hit it and the ref called it illegal. said "it always was" which sounds like ref made up cover tracks BS to me. Its the same lock as a front headlock.
obviously, but i was saying his grinder style wouldn't translate well to a situation where almost everyone is big, strong, and in shape.
skill and athleticism matter, thats what you are arguing against.
Doing some film watching, can someone recommend a match where his style is on full display, just watch him tech dieringer, but thats just a lot of snapping, would like the balance of shots, snaps, underhooks, pressure...
They have a new documentary coming, Funky 2.0, about keegan o'toole, the trailer is about youth wrestlers get ruined and features askren and messenbrink talking about doing the right thing with young athletes....here is what annoys me about this.
1) Reducing O'toole to a clone of askren is the height of superficial idiocy and shows no one at flow has any nuance when it comes to their perspective of wrestling.
2) Are they not concerned with the appearance of nepotism?
3) Are they so lazy they can't leave house to find a story?
4) Taking the stance that you shouldn't ruin kids and making it the premise of a documentary is the ultimate straw man and boring and lazy and ignores the 5000 times they put out films about people who were dedicated from age 3.
5) Timing isn't great. But I can't really list that as a critique because I don't like reducing the world to narratives.....but FLO is!
The production value is high, the content is vapid. Get a creative person at Flo for the love of god.
