  1. Your average head coach would probably have a tough time keeping his job after such an incident; a junior assistant coach probably has no shot at all.
  2. Not sure. I took the comment first, get the facts later approach.
  3. You’ve actually made the point that represents how a lot of people feel these days. At worst, simple weed possession should be treated like a standard speeding ticket. You pay a fine. It shouldn’t get you arrested, thrown in jail, and ruin employment options for you in the future.
  4. I know. Hard to believe people are still getting busted for weed possession these days.
  5. Synder applied for a work visa there, if that carries any weight.
  6. Do you guys plan on doing any sightseeing and/or turning this trip into a vacation? Croatia has really taken off in recent years as a tourist destination. It's trendy, and where all the cool kids are going these days. I plan on vacationing there in the next year or two, if it all works out.
  7. I suspected Vito's gas tank may be an issue, but I didn't expect it to manifest itself this early. Vito's in trouble.
  8. I hope Vito's gas tank is top-notch for this series. If a third bout is necessary, I could see Jax stealing it late if Vito is fatigued.
  9. This is great news. But I also wonder, is this turnaround typical? I was under the impression that folks can easily be on these wait lists for months or years.
  10. Oh, I don’t believe it was an honest mistake. Just that I saw their excuse already being formed.
  11. It's interesting that fish oil is mentioned. One of the key components of fish oil is DHA (please note the similarity to 'DHEA'), short for 'docosahexaenoic acid', which is an omega-3 fatty acid with reported health benefits. Many of these fish oil supplements have 'DHA' printed right on the front of the label (along with 'EPA', which is the other major health component in fish oil). Trying to read between the lines, I immediately took the fish oil reference to mean that Brooks mistook DHEA for DHA. No idea if that's what his did was really implying, but it was my first thought.
  12. It's especially ironic that some of the loudest athlete-preachers in the sport (Brooks, Starocci, Snyder) all appear to be morally bankrupt.
  13. Many a scumbag physician have used similar logic to cover for sexual assault. Physical contact happens in the course of business, they say. Fortunately, especially when a pattern can be established, this doesn't fly. Here's what AI has to say about said physicians: An investigation by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2016 identified over 2,400 doctors across the US who had been disciplined for sexual assault allegations involving patients. The same investigation noted that over 3,100 doctors were sanctioned after being accused of sexual misconduct. A 2016 analysis of the US National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) indicated that 862 physicians had state licensing disciplinary actions taken against them for sexual misconduct between 2003 and 2013. A more recent analysis of NPDB data from 2000 to 2019 identified 1,721 reports of physician sexual misconduct.
  14. Up to a point, I would think. And a lot depends on context. I'm sure other wrestlers could tell the difference between 'it happens' vs. being groped/assaulted. I'm sure all of us could.
