  1. I'd be shocked if Chittum and Blaze don't wrestle above their seeds at 57
  2. I was never doubting you, just said it was news to me. Per his socials it looks like he moved mid Aug of '22 out of TN.
  3. Then that is news to me. He's been living in Kingsport, TN for a few years now.
  4. All due respect, you didnt ask who i thought WOULD take the job. You asked who I'd prefer to take it.
  5. Eslinger was a great coach. Don't get me wrong. Chatt has a hard time recruitng worth while kids. Even their best wrestler right now, Palmer, went to Clarion for a year then transfered in. And he's from TN. I know they went hard after 4 TN kids this year, even offering one of them 5 years, and they landed none of them. The team doens't have the mentality of a winning program. The kids party and don't take it as serious as other programs (this isnt my opinion, its the product of conversations ive had with alum as well as multiple kids who went there and left and as kids on recruiting trips there) Personally, I think we need a bigger name within the wrestling community to take the reigns. Nashon Garrett lives in the state and would bring a sense of notoriety with him. I'd love to have Terry back, of course. There's also a slew of assistant hc's and associate hc's that would be great. Ramos, Maple, Steiber, Jaggers, Gwiz, Brewer, Freyer, Dlagnev, Green, Scott, Perry, Caldwell etc etc etc etc that list goes on. I think, if they truly want to turn the program around, truly, they're gonig to have to fork over some cash and go after a huge name. Change the entire philosphy of the program. Go after a Burroughs when he retires or bring in the Askren brothers.
  6. I can tell you straight forward now that UTC is not on the market for a new coach. The school and alumni are happy with whatever direction they're not heading in right now. They're not going to cut ties with Ruschell and they're not in any danger of cutting the program.
  7. I wholeheartedly disagree Coach Eslinger is the single winningest wrestler in program history. Yet he never all american'd. And that was his legacy as coach there too. Ran the SoCon, yet never produced any all americans. Coach Eslinger embodied mediocrity and as long as he was coach there thats all Chatt ever was, mediocre.
  8. UT-Chattanooga The perennial laughing stock of NCAA wrestling. Hasn't had a single AA since Cody Cleveland in 2009. Incapable of recruiting. Even less capable of molding wrestlers.
  9. Grow up.
  10. If me not wanting to risk the "occasional arrest" and lose my job and my kids see me in jail comes off as "fearful" so be it. The risk ain't worth the reward hoss.. ...you have the mentality of a child
  11. Totes, cause not wanting the "occasional arrest" makes me a boot licker.. grow up.
  12. Top 5 dumbest things to be said on this site since i've joined.
  13. He never one time said that, he blamed the dept of justice for going after them and not other programs and was using that as the reason they shouldnt be punished. They broke the rules. Regardless of what i think of the rule, they broke it. I think if Nelson didnt skip the meeting he may have heard the punishment for it and may not have done it. They dont have anybody to blame but themselves. You reap what you sow
  14. Wrestled there one time. Nice campus, got to see a space shuttle launch. Pretty cool experience.
  15. Seriously? Are you 12? Because being a pro wrestler means I can't have a valid opinion on this right? Being a pro wrestler means i certainly have never wrestled or coached before right? Grow up.
  16. Being sued for a large amount is apples to oranges. This would be as if they went to court knowing they had committed a crime (hypothetically here) and plead not guilty to something they, in fact, were guilty of. Its wrong and deceitful. Its as if he went to court and argued to the judge, "They're not guilty, its the justice departments fault for only investigating us and nobody else". And the fact anybody could even be on his side for that is asinine.
  17. How would that be quitting on them? They made mistakes and violated the rules and have to be held accountable. He's actively trying to prevent that from happening. Coaching wrestling isnt about winning matches. Its about creating good adults that are productive to society. If he cared about that, and truly wanted to set them up for success, he wouldn't be trying to get them out of trouble.
  18. If he cared about his athletes he'd be all for them reaping what they sow. He'd be for them facing the consequences of their actions. To learn from their mistakes. If he cared he wouldn't be blaming someone else. He cares about his teams points, he doesn't care about the athletes as people. Clearly
  19. He was signed Sept of 2021
  20. But you missed the point. Kasper was on nxt. Gable isnt. He's been televised like 3 times the last two years. If you're at the WWE Performance Center for two years and aren't wrestling, there's an issue. A major issue. After two years just about anybody off the street could be turned into a pro wrestler there.
  21. Kasper and his brother just moved up to the main roster a couple weeks ago (I don't watch WWE but i do keep in touch with him every so often). Their amount of time in developmental isnt that far off considering neither of them had stepped into a ring before they started training. That time frame would obviously be different for someone who had been trained and was on the indie circuit before signing with wwe. Now take the time they were there and all their tv time and title matches compared to Gable. Of course its not confirmed WWE has "an issue", nothing like that would ever be confirmed. This is just the assertion i made between what i know about the business and WWE and the stories i've been told by some who have worked there.
  22. Every wrestler starting out struggles with positioning and working fast. It's part of your initial traingin to get those bad habits out. It isnt an amateur wrestling exclusive issue. It's an every pro wrestler issue lol. As for Angle, he did go through training. Trained at OVW in KY. Was there for six months or so then went up to WWE. Gable is training at the Performance Center in Florida and has been there for like two years now. In that time he's had like three tv appearances. It means the issue, whatever it is, is happening in Florida at the PC. Gable won't get any say in his character. Vince has 100% of the say.
  23. That's where his argument fell flat for me. Just becuase the NCAA found that 56% of athletes gamble doesn't absolve Iowa of their violations. It means they need to crack down on the rest, but Iowa should still be punished. He doesn't think they should.
  24. I wasn't comparing the two. I was replying to someone who brought up Andrew Long and that Cael's kids aren't perfect either. They drew those two situations together. I just said Cael never went off blaming the Justice Dept for the kids getting in trouble.
