When you say "people" you mean wingers like rv correct.  He was elected twice so there are "people" who clearly disagree.

Well, to be fair, many many people are on record saying they know he’s a piece of s**t but they’d rather vote for that than the alternative. When you have two horrible options, you end up with a horrible option.

They did release some documents, but in a quick skim I don’t see much.

    https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/DIG/DIG-Declassified-Evidence-Obama-Subvert-President-Trump-2016-Victory-Election-July2025.pdf

A lot of people seem to be focused on the claim that “they changed their conclusion!”  But the initial “conclusion” was that Russia did not hack vote totals, and the later conclusion was that they ran an “influence campaign,” both of which of course are not mutually exclusive.

I’ve seen some claims about “spying on Trump” but not sure where exactly in the documents that supposedly is.

By nothing I meant nothing of any substance.

I would suspect there would be outrage if he actually stole it vs them letting him have it.   Possibly even as a publicity stunt for their new 32 team bracket and all that tv money

Like I said.  Not everyone is focused on outrage.  But keep being you Cavy!   We love ya!

Have you not found any outrage from fifa or infantano yet?

    Not everyone looks for outrage….

My guess…the trophy went back to FIFA headquarters where it always sits in between tournaments, never with the president, king, or prime minister of the host country.  *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* talk is *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* talk.

As for Trump stuffing the medal in his pocket and the players looking at him like WTF while the president tried multiple times to lead him off stage…well Trump just does Trump things.   It made some news for a few days then on to other things, like 95% of news stories.

Yep it is a wait and see situation now.   But the question isn't about wait and see, it is about the SCOTUS decision and how it would impact Obama if he were indicted.   Would it protect him or not?

    mspart

Well it does seem the Supreme Court has taken a pretty broad interpertation of what a president can’t be charged for.   Seems that would be more a question for the Supreme Court than a wrestling board.

Then why is this a dead story if it is of international intrigue?   Late night should be having a hey day continually on this one.  I don't see anything on it except this thread.   Maybe the wrestling community is way ahead of the pack.

    mspart

To be fair, were you expecting some new developments or something?  It’s not like it rare for this kind of pot shot story to run about a 5-7 day news life.  Particularly with Trump, he’s always up to something.

Well, except for drawing.  He’s never once drawn anything in his life.   Didn’t you hear?

    (f**king with ya)

  7. So far nothing has been released other than a statement from Tulsi Gabbard, who is, among all the very trustworthy individuals in government, most definitely among the most trustworthy.

Maybe everyone should just sit tight and see if anything actually comes of this.  Nothing for us to see here yet.  The files are on the DOJ desk, awaiting review.

Colbert's show was losing 40million a year.   CBS decided to kill it.   What is a business supposed to do with a losing project?   Keep it going just because they want to continue to lose money?   Is that the right thing to do?   If there were political reasons, they certainly don't outweigh the obvious and fully vetted financial reasons for the firing.   Is anyone here upset that Colbert was fired?   If so, did you watch on a regular basis?   Did  you find him funny?   Apparently, losing 50% of your market in a few years is a death wish for any media program.   Why should Colbert be different?

    mspart

Didn’t watch his show but (off topic) he has one of the greatest quotes, or maybe I should say statements, I’ve ever heard. Will see if I can find it.

Yes, they deserve more money when they start making a profit.   That's how this works.

    mspart

I do agree with this statement.   You make a salary based on what is coming into the company.  Unfortunately not enough people have caught on to interest in the WNBA for it to turn a profit.  Hard to make an argument for bigger salary.

  10. The pay me what I’m worth is a WNBA movement, not just an Angel Reese movement, as evidenced in no small part by the entire all star rosters wearing the shirts, including Caitlin Clark. And yet you found yet another reason to start another thread disparaging another black WNBA player.

Should we start talking about Black Female Derangement Syndrome?

It's a select few, and the native organization behind them wanting to change the name back was funded by the former owner of the team.

Sports Illustrated (SI) investigated the various pro-Redskins organizations that spoke or wrote on behalf of Daniel Snyder in court, and found that most were receiving multi-thousand dollar donations from the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation (WROAF), which was founded by Snyder. Specifically, SI found that NAGA received $68,360 from WROAF shortly before an amicus curiae the group made in favor of retaining the Redskins name went public.

Cherry picking at its finest.   Washington spent millions and millions into various native american tribes and organizations under various pervues.  Sports Illustrated was very much on one side of the story when they wrote their articles on the subject.....during this time of cultural political war....and for the most part wrote on the one side of that agenda.  Except for the one time they even admitted 90% of native americans responding to an election survey, that was not at all operated by Washington, was not at all offended by the name and logo.   No one said every NA was against the name change, but objective viewing shows that the majority were.   Like usual it is not typically the majority, but the loudest, who are most heard.

We can cherry pick all day to find something to suit 'our side' but at the end of the day it was a move made to satisfy the loud few, not the majority.  But that said, I do agree the President of the United States has no business getting into team names, let alone threatening holding up franchise progress.  And I'm a Cowboy's fan.....I'm not interested in them getting a new stadium!!!

I was actually going to include Bomb Pops on my original response, they were the bomb.  Not only bigger back in the day but tasted better than they do now.

    1. Using that term is basically like using the N word. It's not acceptable. Some people might not have a problem

    2. I don't think he really spends much time on anything. Snorting Adderall maybe?

    3. Agreed.

I didn't talk about 'some people', I talked specifically about "many many leaders in the native american nation", including the family of which the mascot was inspired, and what they felt about it.  Conveniently disregarding that and shifting to "some people" doesn't change the fact.  They're opinion carries a little more weight than those just looking for cultural political points, no matter how hard you try.

    • Bob 1
  14. Lot of pieces to this:

    1) Many many leaders in the Native American nation, including the family of the chief of the Blackfeet tribe who's image inspired the logo before the Redskins name was removed, want the name changed back.  Many, many leaders never wanted the name change in the first place, as they felt it as a memorial rather than the degradation that was being hyped for cultural political points in the time of kneeling in African garb.

    2) Don't pretend the President isn't addressing the economy, immigration, foreign policy and other issues that were hot topics of the election.  Not everyone may agree with how he is addressing those issues, in some cases myself included, but don't pretend he's not spending time on them

    3) The President of the United States should not be involved in the naming of NFL franchises and using threats to try to hold up stadium deals, particularly a republican President, when the party is supposed to be about small government.

You’re going to find a story where 1 random American was deported.  Obama did it on accident too.  So save it

One?   Okay 😂😂😂. Get your warm fuzzies.  More shifting.  We’ve went from FIFA to Obama 😂

    And….what am I saving??

FIFA is a top 5 most corrupt organization on earth.  You can save your moral indignation

Always looking to shift.   That has zero to do with the number of people being swept up who are not illegal.  But hey, you do you, whatever you can to give you your warm fuzzies!!

You’re approaching Jimmy levels of adorable with having to quote the same post multiple times…

    Meh.  Political theatre tbh

also you can save your moral indignation when you find a rando trump story about deporting  an one off American accidentally.  Obama the reporter in Chief did you.

Wait….what???   Your writing skills are catching up to your comprehension skills.

  18. 2 hours ago, Caveira said:

It’s not discrimination to deport illegal aliens.  They broke the law.  Every single one of them.

Correct. But a problem exists in the number of people being swept up who are not illegal.  Hence FIFA’s concern.
