  1. Cael can now do what Andy Reid did pre-Super Bowl- he somehow convinced the team with the best player and who had been a favorite all year long that "NO ONE BELEIVES IN YOU!" I imagine Cael whispering in Brooks, Dean and Kerk ear, "they think you're washed. They don't think you can beat [insert random name]. No one believes in you ..... but I do!" Un
  2. I wonder what Cael's win percentage is on bricks thrown. He rarely seems to toss one. I'm guessing when he does, he's pretty confident that he saw something different than the refs. Brands on the other hand, appears to wish he had two, so he could be even more emphatic with his brick barrage.
  3. Who lost in the conference tournament but has the best chance to win a national championship? O'Toole and Carr feels like a coin flip every time they wrestle. Keegan could absolutely win in Tulsa I don't think Kerkvliet will beat Paris. Though PSU has shown an amazing ability to redeem B10 losses 2 weeks later. 157 is loaded and Haines won't be sneaking up on anyone. Least of all, Robb. I think Peyton wins a rematch if they face one another.
  4. Shane and Jim are the best. I'm reminded of that every time I watch a match on ESPN, when someone else is announcing.
  5. 2nd one was a stall. The first was terrible. Mason looked surprised he gave up a point. It seemed that he (like the announcers) didn't realize they had called the first stall.
  6. Forgot about Hall's loss to Valencia. Did Shakur win the B10s? It felt like his whole career was an underachievement, based upon his potential.
  7. I'm always amazed at Cael's ability to get his team to peak at nationals. In recent years it seems PSU always performs better in the NCAA finals than they do in the B10s. I'm not sure Kerkvliet can beat Parris, but I would not be shocked to see him wrestle completely differently in 2 weeks. Dean is always going to have close, boring matches and will always be in contention. Robb, and the rest of the field will be better prepared for Haines, I don't expect him to win the Natty, but obviously has enough talent to do so. I was trying to think of a PSU wrestler who significantly under performed at nationals. I'm not talking about Taylor losing close matches to Dake or a 4 seed losing to a 1. But someone who easily won the B10, then lost to the same guy 2 weeks later. I'm sure there are some, but none are coming to mind.
