It’ll be interesting to see where he lands. Dude had the tools to be successful again. Not sure a program change was needed to get back to AA level but understand his mom was sick and could have impacted him emotionally through last season along with other reasons reported on the hokie board.
Stewart is BY FAR the best wrestler left in the portal. He's the only one that is an all American. Other than Stewart, the only guy in the portal right now that has ever even qualified for nationals is the roadrunner Richard Castro-Sandoval

He doesn't get enough credit for dropping to 125 and going after Spencer.
It was impressive that he appeared to be completely miserable throughout the entire season. Grimacing and scowling through each dominating victory. Body emaciated. Great commitment to the weight cut.

Did TJ Stewart ever sign with anyone? He went in the portal really early but I haven’t heard that he landed anywhere
Not yet. There were some earlier rumors about him ending up at NC State, but so far that hasn't happened.

Best of those not already mentioned:
Beric Jordan
Louie Gill
Ezekiel Witt -
Swiderski at 74 - makes me think he will be challenging Teague for 157

@Truzzcat @flyingcement any links to match-ups for the dual? It's kind of amazing how there was no noise about this (that I heard at least).
Likewise, I was surprised at the lack of promotion and discussion on this. Maybe it was something that just came together at the last minute.-

Looks like it isn't even being broadcast. What a missed opportunity!

Really? I didn’t see that part.
Not at Lock Haven but at Northern Colorado
Nickerson left Greeley for West Point and Ware was hired as the new HC for Northern Colorado

The whole shooting thing was never really explained as far as I could tell. Leaves folks to wonder.
Wondering is one thing, but to state that [something] is obvious is different to me.

my former cope was that sasso got shot while purchasing, which isn't great but i wouldn't have minded...pretty obvious he's closer to the wrong side of the deal.
Other than deep cynicism, what would prompt you to think that? Is there something obvious I'm missing? Because otherwise it seems like this second incident could easily be explained as a reaction to the first incident (guns for protection, THC vapes for PTSD). The administrative error of not having the car registered just compounding it all. But I would prefer to give more benefit of the doubt than what you have done - unless we know something more about it than what was reported.

They only pay 10% right ?
that's my understanding. that you make a deal with a bail bond - they pay off the amount today and if you don't show up for your court date, they/you will be on the hook for the full amount. as long as you do as you are supposed to and show up where you are supposed to, you won't ever have to pay 100% bail.

The lack of backlash to this thread is a testament to our collective appreciation for the dear chap WKN

I thought AGON was a pretty good hybridized style at the time. It's too bad it never took off.
Are the international pro wrestling leagues still around? I assume they are, but am not familiar. I just remember JB, Helen, and others getting recruited to compete overseas some time ago.
I had never watched AGON and am not familiar with the pro international leagues. I will have to check them out. Maybe some old matches on YouTube
-
Speaking of the ones which are not scripted of course. Right now, it seems like we have three primary ones which are:
Real American Freestyle: Modified version of freestyle, broadcast on Fox Nation
CLAW: rules are hybrid of freestyle and folkstyle with a few other tweaks like the pilons; broadcast on YouTube and FloWrestling
Championship Wrestling Association: 9 minute matches of folks style - three minute periods. Broadcast on Rokfin
I'm happy the those that are taking these business risks on behalf of wrestling are adhering to game theory and attempting different approaches. Maybe we can learn something about how to grow wrestling into a professional sport by watching the evolution of these leagues as well as remembering those that came before them.I have a personal bias toward folkstyle, but I'm not too insistent that the product be one style vs another. I think production value and quality of wrestlers will make the biggest different to me personally.
I'm looking forward to following all three-

Damn was really looking forward to having him on the Lehigh staff
I'm hoping that he puts this issue behind him and ultimately does become a coach at Lehigh. It may take some time though.

I'd be curious if this includes some $$ for some big PA recruits.
Good question. Ivy League cannot even offer athletic scholarships so maybe this is focused more on endowing the coaching positions and building state of the art facilities
