  1. Meredith- 2,4,2 Eierman- 5,4,3,2 Sasso-2,5,2 Micha Jordan- 12, 4, 6, 2 McKenna- 3,12, 3, 2 Micic- 4,2,3, 12 (at fat weight class) WICK- 3,4,3 Megaludis, C Clark, Ashnault, Molinaro, Tomasello were very strong multi-AA with just one title. I am working on compiling wrestling stats of the greats from recent time.
  2. I wonder what the rule is if you're tangled like a pretzel, you have the leg, the other guy has your arm pulled and the other guy kicks over and wrap 2 boots in for a second while on the mat. It felt like no control to a neutral viewer who doesn't know criteria. Slow match but wow they saved some explosiveness for OT. O'Toole looks small but wow his technique is solid!
  3. Reminds me why I stopped being a boxing fan overnite: De La Hoya and Bob Arum conspiring to avoid putting a single undefeated fighter at risk for three years to try and create a single mega fight as well as Floyd Mayweather ducking Pacman in his prime.

  5. I love the stock; I liked it at 65, at 61 it's an insult!
  6. Wow and yet 2021 had a beautifully boring 133 bracket
  7. Lewan was at a tough weight, Amine too... Scott- 5th to R12 Franek-4th to 8th Robb- 6th to 7th Andonian- 7th to 6th (used to the new weight) Blockhus- 8th to R16 (moved up a weight) That said, they did stink it up regular season too. Was the 3 point takedown their kryptonite to their boring matches? After all, only a master like Fix can fix his way into being a repeat offender runner up when the rules change against him.
  8. He'd rather destroy Iowa in the tourney than have to run duals against 'em I'm guessing!
  9. Quarters at NU were brutal. I didn't think it would matter much but my GPA at a semester school was 3.8 and at a quarter school was 3.5 after 2 years at each. The falloff was dramatic and that sleep deprivation with the short breaks felt bad. The kids felt more intelligent at NU also. I know a couple kids with 3.0-3.1 GPA who scored in the top 1% of the country on the MCAT and got into medical schools.
  10. This doesn't bother me at all. I did eighth grade a year early because my father wanted me to be a rich productive member of society a year early; I entered high school at 60 pounds and wrestled with a 28 to 30 pound deficit freshman and soph year, and a 8 pound deficit Junior year. I also was the last of my friends to party at the college bars! Senior year I kicked some butt- weighed 5 to 10 pounds over 103 each week. Wrestling underweight stunts your development.
  11. Thanks for this good idea! It was fun.
  12. He was great this year. He likely could have been a R12 guy even with the stacked 197 class.
  13. I felt like officials were very generous to Figueroa on the stalling calls. The guy bored me just a bit less than Lewan and Fix do. That said, what a gauntlet he walked through over the last four weeks after looking out of shape and disastrous two thirds of the season! I will be cheering for Ayala to beat him next year.
  14. I said to my nephew "Haines makes Lewan look like a dwarf"
