    What the hell was Starocci thinking at BigTens? He is obviously not 100 percent, and I would strongly favor Mehki to beat him.

    I don't know about badly. But Bartlett stopped wrestling at one point and it cost him getting a TD. Kasak in deep in period 1 and does not convert only to give up the very late 2nd period TD. Not the smart wrestling we normally see.

    But how do you handle a situation like Starocci that is fluid. Seems patently obvious Starocci wanted to wrestle and Cael did not think it was a good idea. When there are several days between seeding and the tournament then **** like this is going to happen.

    Would not seeding Starocci last at BigTens bring about essentially the same result as seeding him 9th at NCAAs? If he is last at Bigs AND THEN WRESTLES and advances and then beats the wrestler seeded 1rst the complaints we saw about him being seeded 9th at NCAAs and drawing Mehki would have been made one tournament earlier. There is no perfect solution, just the routine complaints about unfairness.

    One, an injury default only occurs when you take the mat. It is a loss. You can't take a loss without actually taking the mat. Two, Manning is railing on someone for playing within the rules, not outside of them. He further does so without providing any meaningful insight on what he wants done. In other words, he's just a whiner.

    But he did use it. An inj default IS using it. Can you point me to Manning's new rule proposal. I'm sure it was posted somewhere and I just missed it.

    If Starocci does not wrestle they will claim shenanigans, and if he does wrestle they will claim shenanigans as well. This is all about the airing of grievances. Manning should concentrate on making Nebraska better.

    If they change the rule to force a recovering wrestler to wrestle his league championship to qualify it probably won't be a Cael Sanderson wrestler that takes the mat because PSU can win despite losing one wrestler. Nebraska on the other hand might send a guy out there and the guy will get wrecked. Kharma works that way.

    The number already is zero. You can be 0-0 and wrestle in your league championship and qualify for NCAAs. An at large would require more, of course.

    Wilson failed to make NCAAs because there are 33 better wrestlers than him. No other reason. Had Starocci wrestled Wilson still would not have made NCAAs.
