  1. I agree with you. I did it for 2 years as a consultant of sorts and just prepared quarterly financials and that was basically it. I had no insight into anything donor related, and mind you I'm not and never have been a Wisconsin fan in any sport. I quit doing it after 2023 because it was such a mess. I like Bono as a person from the limited interactions I've had with him, he really is a nice guy. However, it's well past time he leaves Madison.
  2. That is annual revenue, additionally they (WI RTC) had $317k of revenue, $203k of expenses and had $430k of total assets in 2023. You can see a better breakdown on ProPublica for every year they have filed a tax return. You can also see directors, members of the board, etc. I was the treasurer for 2 years so you'll see my name listed on the 2023 information as well.
  3. The RTC brought in about 1.4 million from 2016-2022 and the actual budget is top 20 in the country. The excitement was there for a brief period but really started to fall off once they missed every elite in state recruit in the class of 2024. 2023 revenue for the RTC dropped $60k. Take a look at the WI forum and you'll see that even the staunch Bono supporters are starting to turn.
  4. It's been a rumor I've heard for at least the last 2 years. Like I said idk how much truth there is to it. I would love to see him come back and coach at AWA and have Max as the Wisconsin head coach. I think it would instantly make them more competitive and that would be better for college wrestling overall, and I say that as a Penn State fan for the 16 years I've been watching college wrestling out of the 26 I've been alive.
  5. I don't recall if it was on here or the Wisconsin Wrestling online forum or I heard it from someone face to face, but there has been a rumor that the reason Bono got an extension was to restructure his contract to change his buyout clause and he's getting canned after this season. How much truth there is to that I'm not sure, but I do know there's been a long standing rumor that Max Askren wants Parker Keckeisen to come back to AWA North Shore after this year and take over full time coaching. Whether that's for him to go to Wisconsin or just to have more time with his family I don't know.
  6. If someone related to Askren takes over Wisconsin you'll likely see a lot of transfers back to Wisconsin, or at least that is the rumor I have heard. Mirasola's, Sinclair, Millard, Dailey, DuChateau possibly others I can't think of.
