I once told my 4th grade teacher (a woman) that I'd kill her. She laughed at me and said I was overreacting. In all seriousness, threats like these should not be taken lightly. Austin was right to be reprimanded. From my understanding, he was feeling very overwhelmed after losing to RBY and wanted to quickly get away from anyone and everyone to vent. He didn't behave appropriately in that situation so I'm not saying he should get a pass, I just don't for a minute think he had actual violent intent at that moment.

What you say makes sense. I am just surprised that he is making the cut in a year where he was presumably planning on wrestling heavyweight. He probably learned about the impending suspensions around the same time that Brands did, sometime in May. Seems like he has trimmed a lot of weight since then

Are you saying he tried to add weight last year? That fits with the eye test. Still don't understand why he is cutting down to 97kg. Would be funny if entries change in the next few days and this all turned out to be an error

I don't find Pyles' commentary abrasive or bothersome. I think he does a pretty solid job but maybe that's a result of slim pickings. In either case, I don't mute him when watching a match. I generally like more play-by-play commentary in a tournament setting because it allows me to be aware of major action even when I step away for a moment to micturate or something. To each their own, of course. Count me in as one of the ones that doesn't understand the CP hate.

why not Camacho? I know we aren't supposed to take freestyle into account, but he has beaten both of last year's finalists (teched Glory at the open). I understand not wanting to reward him for not competing at CKLV while the rest of his team did but he has been injury prone...

If Cass is truly that light, me thinks he is not one of the 2 wrestlers with ongoing gambling appeals that Brands mentioned in his last press conference. I can't think why Cass would trim down to 215-225ish if he was planning on wrestling folkstyle heavyweights

When was the last time Fix bonused a top 5 guy? There is a reason he hasn't been 125 since his r3dshirt year. The cut absolutely will suck for an entire season. Couple that with the fact that he hasn't separated himself by a wide margin from the masses at 133 and I feel very confident he would find himself in a lot of challenging matches at 125

I want to agree but he got 4th last year at what I think is his optimal weight. I think Camacho, at the least, could challenge him at 125.
