You go there to give yourself the best opportunity to develop and put yourself in a good position for the rest of your
life. Being a student is part of this but being an elite athlete is just as valid a skill as being a rocket scientist and is
a viable career path whether it is competing or coaching in the future . Educational Model is already too corporate and
anything that even hints at being in favor of a corporate, institutional model over the person paying the money needs to be
be reformed .
Cornell fan but Ivy leagues need to update their policies . Having archaic rules regarding eligibility
under the guise of being for academic reasons is extremely outdated. The best thing for the student/athlete
is to have the same opportunities as other student athletes especially in this day and age where athletes
are rightly allowed to be compensated .
These policies are not Student/Athlete first policies .
Cornell would guess Dellagatta at heavyweight , Cerchio or Perentin at 165 and possible another year at 141
for Cornella . Also younger Delagatta competing for 184 .
Interesting , feel like giving it to the athletes would contribute to the popularity of the event even more
among every demographic , Fans, Parents, Athletes, Casuals etc
Guessing all the schools do this .
Data may be a way to solve this , as in average height per weight class by year with a lower
average height maybe indicative of more muscularity .
Would have to start after the year weigh ins were changed from night before for consistency though.
