  1. I have seen most of his matches he had to injury default and it is never the same injury. Broken Hand, Concussed, Knee are all the ones I remember off the top of my head. I just think he has not the best luck in the world. I saw the Ruiz match and that kid popped a rib. It looked painful. I said before the season if Steed stayed healthy he would be a problem. Now he is 8-2 with both his losses being by injury default while winning.
  2. Wisconsin is 1-3 in MACtion
  3. Jim Prendergast was an AA at Southwest Missouri State in 93 (now Missouri State) Ed Prendergast was an AA for Navy in 08.
  4. Dave wrestled at OK State before transferring to OU. Mark wrestled at UCLA before transferring to OU. I think it should be allowed
  5. He was done no matter what after his knee gave out. You only get two injury breaks the time had nothing to do with it. I think Scoles was coming on. But if Steed didn't injure his knee, that forward pressure might not have worked so well as in the previous 3 takedowns. I think Scoles best shot was on top. I thought they made the wrong choice in picking bottom after the injury timeout. Steed was clearly compromised and probably wouldn't have gotten up. Scoles could had choice in the third and would have taken top and maybe got a turn. Plus possible stalling calls.
  6. Steed's knee gave out again on the 2nd injury time. I also thought that the brick Smith threw was justifiable. It looked on TV as if Scoles went against the joint to bring the knee out and Steed cried out right after he did that. But the ref didn't see it that way. As a Mizzou fan I have been holding my breath that Steed doesn't get injured (again). I said before the season Steed would be a problem if he stayed healthy. I hope it is not serious. But as far as faking I didn't think that in the least bit. Logan Cole did great for being a true frosh and jumping up a weight class. It was 4-2 Ruth with :50 seconds of riding time in favor of Cole when he tried his last two desperation takedowns. Ruth wouldn't have got out from Hawks if Cole got :50 seconds of riding time. BTW, I know there was still another period left when Steed had to default. But if he continued and the results stayed the same... Guess what 17-17 tie. Also, If the total points stayed the same Illinois would have won on most total points 84-83. Man I can almost call it
  7. 1. I am not. I was but my friend couldn't go and I am not driving 5 hours tonight by myself 2. No 3. 50/50 but my guess is no. 4. Mizzou's team is a lower top 10 to top 15 team. Some younger guys will have to do well at Nationals for them to be in top 10 (Steed). But, I think the best is yet to come for Mizzou in the coming years with Sinclair, Mendoza, Bambinelli, Walker, Rath, Stillwell all being mainstays in the lineup for the next to 5 years. While 8 of Illinois team will get their AARP cards after the season. 5. Because, Mizzou has won 6 or the last 8 duals and there football team always beats Illinois? But you always have Basketball. I think Illinois is favored in most matchups and it could be close. Where Mizzou is qualifier level Illinois is AA level (133, 149, 285). Rumor is Hawks is out. So that will be three starters out. I thought with Hawks it would be a super close dual. I think there is a lot of pick'ems (141, 157, 165, 184 (if Hawks is able to go)
  8. Rumor is Hawks maybe out with the funk... So Tommy Hagan. So Ruth wins now. They have one common opponent this year in Deron Pulliam of SIUE. Ruth won in OT and Hagan won 6-5. So Mizzou's lineup will be 125- Walker 133- Moore 141- Edmond 149- Gioffre 157- Conway 165- Steed 174- O'Toole 184- Hagan 197- Sinclair/Cassett (if the dual is completely out of reach. I can see Cassett going to save a date for Sinclair) 285- Nitzel
  9. I have a bit differently 125- Walker over Riley MIZZ-3 ILL-0 133- Byrd Major over Moore ILL-4 MIZZ-3 141- Edmond Over Pucino (Remember his two loses are against a National Champ and 2x AA) Mizz-6 ILL-4 149- Webster over Gioffre Ill-7 MIZZ-6 157- Kraisser over Conway ILL-10 MIZZ-6 (But i think this is a toss up. Conway continues to have brutal schedule. He has beaten people Kraisser has lost to in the past. I would not be surprised if Conway won) 165- Steed over Scoles ILL-10 MIZZ-9 (This is also a toss up) 174- O'Toole Major over Dan Braunagel MIZZ-13 ILL-10 184- Hawks over Ruth MIZZ-16 ILL-10 197- Zach Braunagel over Sinclair MIZZ-16 ILL-13 285- Luffman over Nitzel MIZZ-16 ILL-16 It will come down to criteria. But because Byrd racks up Points I think Illinois wins on criteria.

  13. Surtin's schedule this year is brutal. He is currently ranked 15th but sees the following this year. In Duals #17 Eddie Ventrusca (Former AA), #21 Ramazan Attasauov, #25 Trevor Anderson, #12 Greg Diakomihalis, #10 Nico Provo, #1 Richard Figueroa, #20 Jett Strickenberger, #6 Troy Spratley, #30 Antonio Lorenzo, at Tournaments (Cougar Clash, TIger Style Invite) #4 Matt Ramos, #8 Stevo Poulin, #9 Cooper Flynn, #18 Blake West That is not even including true frosh Luke Lilledahl, Adrian Meza That is 13 of the top 30. Also, 7 ranked above him. So if he could be in the top 10 quickly. But he could also go into Big 12 with say an 9-8 record or something of that nature. I do think Surtin and Elam will be on pitch counts this year. Surtin got wore down with injuries and making weight for 4.5 months. Mizzou this year has some depth at 125. So you could see all five 125's wrestle in duals this year and preserve eligibility for the three true freshman (Walker, Mauger, Crapps).
  14. Here are the ranked wrestlers at Tiger Style Invite this weekend Missouri, Maryland, Little Rock, Cal Poly, Purdue, SIU-Edwardsville (Intermat Rankings) 125- #4 Matt Ramos, Purdue #15 Noah Surtin, Missouri 133- #2 Nasir Bailey, Little Rock #12 Braxton Brown, Maryland #20 Zeth Romney, Cal Poly #29 Kade Moore, Missouri 141- #13 Josh Edmond, Missouri 149- #8 Chance Lamer, Cal Poly #15 Jordan Williams, Little Rock #24 Logan Gioffre, Missouri #26 Kal Miller, Maryland 157- #18 Joey Blaze, Purdue #19 Ethen Miller, Maryland #24 Matt Bianchi, Little Rock #27 Legend Lamer, Cal Poly #31 J. Conway, Missouri 165- #18 Joey Bianchi, Little Rock #22 Stoney Buell, Purdue #23 Cameron Steed, Missouri 174- #1 Keegan O’Toole, Missouri #20 Adam Kemp, Cal Poly #26 Tyler Brennen, Little Rock #30 Brody Baumann, Purdue 184- #8 Jaxon Smith, Maryland #13 Brock DelSignore, Little Rock #14 Colton Hawks, Missouri 197- #4 Rocky Elam, Missouri #5 Stephen Little, Little Rock 285- #15 Seth Nevills, Maryland #17 Josiah Hill, Little Rock #20 Trevor Tinker, Cal Poly #23 Seth Nitzel, Missouri
  15. I was not cornered, I was fine. I did enjoy a excelled Chop Cheese sandwich at Hi-Pointe drive in before the match... Highly recommened. I thought the first overturned takedown on Ruth was the one that should have been. The 2nd I didn't think was cause he only had one arm and Pulliam rolled out of it. I will say I disagreed with the stall call in the last second. Ruth was shooting for a stall call not a takedown and Pulliam stayed in front and circled after that last attempt back to the center. BUT, oh yeah, he should have been called prior to last 5 second restart for a 2nd point without a doubt. The dual meet went exactly the way I thought it would. I expected three competitive matches and all three were. I thought Davis would do well after seeing him in wrestle offs. I was correct. He is going to surprise some people this year and with Noto up at 133. Could be a MAC contender. I thought The Woodcock Vs. Kraisser match was going to be competitive and crazy and I was spot on. It almost could have been a first period tech for Woodcock cause he so close to getting 2nd and 3rd set of nearfalls against Kraisser (I thought he should of got a 2nd set. But the ref had a better angle than I did). But man was that a fun 2:30. I also thought the Pulliam and Ruth match would be close (did not expect OT) and I was correct on that. I thought Kannon Webster, the Braunagels, Scoles and Lucas Byrd looked great. Marcel Lopez is tough and finished 3rd in the MAC and can keep matches close. Byrd looked like he had no rust. Webster looked huge for a 149 and was constant pressure. Scoles looked slick as hell and is going to be a problem for 165 lbs. I thought maybe Nick Nosler might be able to keep the match competitive with Zach. But Zach looked great. I think Illinois has a change at 3-5 AA's and 7 AARP cards. I have to say it was a very good crowd there as well.
