  1. Fareokhi selected as the GR wrestler of the year https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSO9J29DGv6/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  2. Looks like the Bank Shahr team used several Russians. so the Sadulaev story was just BS publicity?
  3. Here is the controversial end of the Azimi Firouzpour match https://www.facebook.com/reel/1299590522198774/?fs=e&mibextid=wwXIfr&fs=e
  4. Goleiji is mostly known for pulling ahead of superstars in big matches, and then blowing the lead in the last 10 seconds against Hassan, he never pulled ahead so th match was more boring than usual. to be fair to him, here is a video of him against Valencia years ago https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSE54mvAJpl/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  5. Hassan Yazdani teached Babaloo 10-0
  6. That seems like a good guess. We’ll find out soon they need to weed out this doping culture out of the GR community. For some reason it seems to be happening too frequently in the GR camp
  7. Unnamed U23 Iranian gold medalist tested positive for doping. Sure and fast way to go from hero to zero https://www.iranintl.com/202512106803
  8. I believe Russia is the only one that has achieved Olympic gold medals for other countries and Iran and Russia are the only ones that have achieved world gold medals for other countries. I am not aware of any Japanese wrestling for other countries
  9. Massoumi reiterates that he will be wrestling for Azerbaijan, starting 2027 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DR350IJCCSm/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  10. I still remember his confrontation with Valiev, when he called Valiev a traitor https://apps.apple.com/app/id535886823?pt=9008&ct=iosChromeShare&mt=8
  11. It’s decision made by the Russian wrestling federation. they believe the invest heavily in the development of their wrestlers and want them to understand that they are part of a country and have to make sacrifices for their country
  12. As I read it, it’s not retroactive. For future only.
  13. I agree, however, I would still pay top dollar to watch it.
  14. https://khanehkoshti.ir/با-اعلام-میخائیل-مامیاشویلی؛-تغییر-تا/
  15. Azimi is wrestling 92 and Hassan is supposed to wrestle 97. if Hassan really does wrestle, he will face Sadulaov or Goleij. reports are that Sadulaev is now confirmed https://khanehkoshti.ir/گادجی-ماگومدوف-و-سیداکوف-به-ایران-می/
  16. Massoumi is in Iran wrestling in the Iranian wrestling league. no clue what will happen to his transfer. speaking of iran wrestling league, there are rumors that Sadulaov will be signing up to wrestle in the Iran league in the playoffs. In theory, he may end up wrestling Hassan Yazdani
  17. Allow me to elaborate. First of all DT wasn’t just very good, he was one of the best. Ghassempour is really good at leg attacks. He demonstrated that against Satiev, and against DT with the first take down. after he took DT down, he went into a defensive posture and stopped his leg attacks, and only started attacking again after DY took him down in my opinion, after he took DT down, he should have wrestled lesss defensively and tried take downs on counter attacks while DT has to attack. Once DT took the lead, and Ghassempour had to atrack, it was game over
  18. Good points
  19. No argument with anything you wrote, other than dismissing his performance against Kaipanov and Dake. I would say his biggest problem is in consistency, but at his best, he is a medal contender. Also agree with the age concern. Let's hope Sina Khalili can bulk up, or somehow Amir Reza Yazdani gets his head straightened out by someone. I would not be shocked if Amouzad ends up in 74 for the 32 olympics.
  20. I think you are being a little harsh. Agree that Emami has not done great in the past, but he just defeated the word champion after being down 5-1. You have to give him some credit for that. Here is a video showing some of that match https://www.aparat.com/v/kyo437p I also would LOVE to see if Sina can bulk up to 74 and challenge for the spot in the olympics
  21. yes, at the moment, he is Iran's best hope at 74. Unless some new young guy shows up, he will most likely represent Iran at the Olympics, and if he gets a good draw, may get a bronze. I have given up on Amir Yazdani, who, at one time, thought is Iran's future hope for 74.
  22. As you said, he wants 86 Kg for the Olympics. I don't think he has a chance of making the Olympics team at 97 with Azarpira, Yazdani, and probably Firouzpour competing for it, and even if he did, his chances of medaling are very low. So if he wants to medal in the Olympics, 86 is his only chance. If Rahimi, who is only 19, keeps improving, Ghassempour may not make the team at 86 either. I am not convinced all his problems are caused by his weight loss. He lost a match at 92 against Sadulaev, that he should have won if it wasn't for a mental mistake in the last 10 seconds. I think that really impacted him mentally. He then lost another match DT where he was ahead, and could have won if he had wrestled smarter. The following hear, he won a tough match at 86 against Kadiev, and I was hoping that may be the end of his problems, but he then got destroyed by Zahid in the finals, and how lost a match against the young Azari. I am afraid his best days may be behind him, and Rahimi may end up representing Iran in the Olympics.
  23. Major upsets in the Islamic games 97 kg Tajhidinov lost to Aitumukhan 15-3 86 Kg Ghassempour lost to Dzhioev 5-3 74 Kg Emami beat Kaipanov 6-5 and ended up winning gold after defeating Azerbajan in the finals
