  1. The more I see the more I want him fired. This is not how a coach talks to a wrestler who just lost a big match https://www.instagram.com/share/_m5c1LJvE
  2. He won a close match at the last second against the North Korean. I want to be fair to the people I am firing in case there is a law suit
  3. I really enjoyed watching that. he uses the same Bulldoze approach that DT and Yazdani too. How has he done against Valencia? Would love to see a video of those matches
  4. It depends on how many golds we end up with. One gold does not cut it for me, two golds is OK, three golds would be great. I think our coaching lost two us golds in 79, 86 and 92. If they end up with golds in 65 and 97, let's talk It all comes down to expectations. Below is my personal assessment 57 - DNP as expected no positive or negative impact on the coaches 61- Exceeded expectations, positive point for the coaches 65 - If Amouzad wins, positive if not no impact 70 - DNP, Disaster, negative for the coaches 74 - 5th as expected no impact 79 - bronze, negative for the coaches 86 - bronze, major negative to the coaches 92 - bronze, negative for the coaches 97 - silver or gold, if silver, no impact, if gold, positive for the coaches 125 - Automatic gold, no impact on the coaches If i was voting, if we get two golds tomorrow, great job coaches If we get one gold, they keep their jobs if we get two silvers, fire them, Call Trump and see if we can trade Dorostkar and Dabir for DT. Given Trump's expertise in Art of the Deal, it just might work
  5. Fair enough, we see it differently. I still would love to See Dabir and Dorostkar removed, and see a new regime. I know it's not very likely
  6. Man, that win by Hidlay is one of the best comebacks I have ever seen. Firouzpour vs Hidlay will be fun
  7. That is my point. David Taylor, the coach, managed to turn an athletic guy who was a second rate wrestler into an unbeatable wrestler. We need coaches who can do that. That is not Dorstkar
  8. Matt side advice may be pointless, but giving bad advice and then chiding the wrestler for following your advice is ridiculous. Ghassempour losing 7-0 to Valencia was a disaster. To me, the coach, David Taylor won that match. He coached his wrestler to destroy a better wrestler.
  9. Not even close. I will take more individual goals for no team title any day
  10. I am one of the people who wants him fired. I don't see any evidence that he and his team do a good job of analyzing their opponents well. I have never seen him yell good advice to the wresltlers. I saw a video on Instragram were he yells "push him" and then after Zare gets taked down, he yells "why are you pushing him for no reason?" I like the idea of Reza Yazani. I also like the idea of Babak as a coach or at least assistant coacj
  11. Thank you. You are a class act.
  12. Nokhodi wins bronze, but there is a challenge pending by the Azerbajanis for pulling the singlet Challenge denited, Nokhodi wins bronze
  13. Well, Emami took 5th. In my book, 74 is the absolute toughest division. I am not disappointed in Emami. Overall he did well, but lost to better wrestlers.
  14. If Iran wins all three bronze matches, it would be an undefeated day for Iran !
  15. In my book, Kiyooka is a massive favorite over Amouzad. I would not be shocked if Amouzad gets teched Azarpira is a slight favorite. He beat Snyder in the Olympics, and he entered the match with a torn knee. But Snyder looks really good and improved this year. Perhaps his off the mat events have motivated him to fix his legacy
  16. Meanwhile Emami is wrestling for Bronze in 74
  17. Azarpira is the man. Taj is beatable!! should be a good final. Rematch of the Olympic bronze match, except this time Azarpira’s knee is not torn in the prior match.
  18. You know, these games made me realize the value of great coaching Valencia was a second rate wrestler who had not won anything big until now. i don’t know when he switched to having DT as his coach, but DY turned a 28 year old second rate wrestler into a dominating world champion. imagine if Iran had coaches like that to coach all the kids who won cadets and U21. DT himself did not turn into a world beater until he was well into his 20s. Iran guys seem to peak at 20-21 and never improve their wrestling. I attribute that to lack of high level coaching. my choices for Iran national team coach are DT or Carl Sanders. Getting more realistic, my choices are Rassoul Kahdem, Reza Yazdani or Babak the Instagram announcer. i think Babak would be great because he know the US style of wrestling and mentality.
  19. To be fair, he is a young kid going against an Olympic and world champion. He should a lot of hear getting a take down when he was down 9-0
  20. As expected Javan lost 11-2 Javan, so far, is the only one who exceeded my expectations ghassempour, firouspour, yazdani and Nokhodi we’re disappointing hopefully Zare, Amouzad and azarpira will save the tournament for us
  21. The time wasting consisted of asking to change the dressing on his face multiples times when there was no bleeding
  22. So far, a shitty day Nokhodi lost to a wrestler that deserved to win today Firouzpour lost a match that he should have won. The time wasting by the Russian was ridiculous. so I am guessing we will end up with 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronzes out of the first 8 weights.
  23. Here is another thought Amouzad looks really big for 65 to me. He goes to 70 next year and 74 after that Javan does to 65
  24. Firouzpour is 23. I expect him to get bigger. I expect him to go up, not down.
  25. He has to decide between 74 and 86 for the Olympics
