I'm not sure where you copy/pasted this from, but it looks like they went back to at least 2015 and found 2 trans girls that won a combined 15 state track and field titles? Statistically, if the playing field was level between trans and cis girls, you'd expect trans girls to have won 450 state outdoor T&F titles during that time.

Just some back of the envelope math: back in my day there were 15 individual track and field (outdoor) events, if we assume that states have, on average, 2 T&F divisions, we're looking at at lease 1500 individual girls state track and field champions every year. A little over 3% of high school students are trans, so if the playing field were even between cis and trans girls you should expect to average 45 trans girls to win state T&F championships every year. This thread has turned up 2 examples. Seems like trans girls are pretty dramatically underrepresented.

Lacrosse brings in kids from out of state, who pay higher tuition. It isn't about what's more popular locally.

Because high school participation doesn't translate to interest in college wrestling. How many of the guys that you wrestled with in high school do you think have watched (let alone attended) a college meet in the last few years? How many of them do you think have watched a college football game?
