That would have been an awesome coaching trio for the Huskies. I'm sure all of them at Brown has been great for recruiting and in-room action. Thinking that group would add a shot of youth and star power that Bloomsburg has needed as of lately.

I have seen a clip of what I could only assume to be an Irish upper-weight of ND getting thrown in a 1991 Iowa wrestling highlight posted by Eustice Wrestling on YouTube. Would have to check the schedules or brackets from that year to see whether U of I and Notre Dame met up anywhere.

Correct. I would love for Tom and Terry to birth my cyborg-Hawkeye-identical sons all because I included them in a wrestling forum question about college wrestling greats. Do us all a favor and note the ‘Legends’ included in the title. A question about how guys were seen coming out of high school. Not, “Who were the bluest of blue chips of all time?”. To say those two are not legends would be asinine. Yeah, you’re not a legend even if you have an Olympic medal or even some world titles. Got this a little bit with the IHSWCA Team State tournament. Right after the New Year and the weekend before conference for a lot of programs. Obviously, it isn't an individual event, but you do get to see the top guys from each class face off. Would be interesting to see a fully classed tournament though. In recent years, the IHSWCA has held a 1A/2A state tournament which occurs right after IHSAA state.

I'm not old enough to have been around for the emergence of guys such as Cael, the Brands Bros., Kolat, etc. into college. Through miscellaneous interviews and articles I have heard stories such as Kolat at the Midlands in high school, but prior to the advent of social media, what was the national hype and opinions on these guys (and others) as recruits. Nowadays, with sites such as Flo, InterMat, and Instagram, everyone sees who the best are, where they train, where they compete, and their recruiting journeys. How was it back in the day though?

Was always confused by the whole inconvenient pillar placement in wrestling rooms. I would assume they are for structural purposes? Think there could be a better location but I am certainly no engineer.
