  1. Anyone know if there's a video of Chittum (who left Iowa because the Ferraris were coming)? He beat #4 Teemer with a convincing 9 - 5 score -- would love to see that!
  2. I'm surprised that Minnesota isn't even ranked...not in the top 30. That's pretty low for a well known program.
  3. Does anyone really think the Brands Bros are gonna take a risk with the Ferraris? Maybe someone with more knowledge of their thinking can shed some light here. It just seems like an over-the-top risk, one not worth taking. If the past -- recent and distant -- is a reliable indicator of the future (and it usually is), then there's about a 99% probability that bringing in that family will lead to problems. Big problems.
  4. I must confess, part of me wants to see them at Iowa because it will no doubt be a wild freak-fest full of bonkers stories. At the same time, it won't be good for Iowa, and while I'm not a big Iowa fan, I don't want to see a premiere program -- or any program for that matter -- suffer due to maladjusted, ignorant, petty goons like the Ferarris.
  5. Seems very risky for Iowa to take the Ferraris. No doubt they'll cause trouble sooner or later -- probably sooner.
  6. No, Greco-Roman has to go. We need to funnel the resources into freestyle. In the ideal world, it should stay. I personally like it, but funding two kinds of wrestling isn't feasible. We need more weights in freestyle
  7. Sorry, I'm not "in the know" as many of you...so please explain, is Kerk a really possibility at 97kg?
  8. Wow! Snyder is still young and consistently in the top 3 in the world. I think he has many more medals to bring home -- including gold medals.
  9. Top 5 1. John Smith (2x Olympian, 2x Gold) 2. Bruce Baumgartner (4x Olympian, 2x Gold, Silver and Bronze) 3. Jordan Burroughs (2x Olympian, 1x Gold, 1x DNP) 4. David Taylor (1x Olympian, 1x Gold) 5. Kyle Dake (1x Olympian, 1x Bronze)
  10. My friends and I are fans of wrestling. I wrestled in HS, but they did not. What do we prefer to watch? Freestyle. It has an intensity that is lacking in folk. The bottom game is boring, unless you were a folkstyle wrestler. Yes, college wrestlers are conditioning machines, but technical wrestling is more interesting to fans. The idea of "control" on the bottom in folkstyle isn't really control in a combat sense...nobody in their right mind would face the ground in a combat situation. It's just a thing in folk that is boring, and in freestyle they minimize that. We want to see takedowns and throws.
