Is this known as a FACT that person A was the same as person B? If so, then I would expect that the treatment would be more like B as this fact was shown to be a fact and knowledge spread …. but I see this as an untenable hypothetical. Particularly due to person B’s long history and behavior. I would expect that it is more like the hopes of someone that is reveling in the demise of person A.

Person A behaves in a ‘good’ way for a long time. Then does something bad. People say woah. That’s bad. What happened? Some people revel, cheer and celebrate with glee at this person’s demise. Other people wait and see and are willing to give a second chance to person A. Person A perhaps makes good on this opportunity and a good chunk of the community recognizes the challenge and the attempt to do right going forward. Person B behaves in wack job way. Is accused of many bad things. Is considered unreliable. Given chance after chance after chance after chance. Makes people regret the time and energy invested in him. Has a persona of being a jackass. Then does something bad. People say - that fits. He is just that person. No 8th chance given. Still considered a jackass. Seems about right. The feigned outrage of a double standard is amusing.

This sucks. He screwed up. Big time. I’m sure he is in a degree of emotional agony. And there should be punishment (I’m not someone that will be calling the use of prostitutes victimless). That said, I sure hope all the asshats around here and off these boards just give the guy some space to deal with this with his family and learn and grow from it. Seems like a guy who is going to really suffer mentally from the pain he has caused and the embarrassment to friend, family and himself. It is a very severe punishment already. I worry for him - mental state and all. Back off folks.
