Kaelani Shufeldt needs some kind of justice. Claiming there's teeth marks when the other girl has a mouth guard in that wouldn't even show teeth marks is absurd

Blades has a bad wheel (ankle?) that flared up in the regional final too.

Simpson is great, but NCC's cheer section is loud and active. I'll give it to them, though the Hawkeye fans are so numerous they make a lot of noise too.

The bite incident was so dumb. Clearly no one saw it, there was no reaction from the wrestler, coaches or officials, then well into injury time, all of a sudden it's an issue. The video shows she may have bit herself while lieing there hurt. Not conclusive but with it happening in PA junior high recently and the mouth guard you mentioned, it should never be a dq. Terrible

Great tournament otherwise!

Blades injured her ankle in Zagreb last month, even forfeited out of her bronze medal match.  She didn't wrestle after that until regionals and this tournament.  But not 100 percent yet.

How do they determine the NCAA women's brackets?  I see they had 18 wrestlers per weight last year with a 2 match prelim.  Did 3 wrestlers qualify per region to get the 18 total?

It seemed like the 9th and 10th seeded wrestlers were always somehow involved in the prelim.  Not 15, 16, 17, and 18 like I would have imagined.

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.
