We have an incredible group of freshmen this year. Really remarkable.

With the postseason just around the corner, who has impressed you the most so far?

I am going with Blaze at this point. He has a full season under his belt and has beaten a gauntlet of top talent. He has wins over then #6 Tyler Knox, #8 Drake Ayala, #10 Jacob Van Dee, #15 Braxton Brown and #2 Ben Davino. His defense, positioning, technique, mat awareness and mat intelligence are top notch. Plus, he has a great gas tank.

Most impressed with vega as he had zero threads about him before the season and has some quality wins, Seidel I would put next. Jax/blaze I could never list on something  like this given the hype

What does hype have to do with being the most impressive?  Blaze has definitely been as impressive as anyone and the hype has no bearing on that.

This survey and list should (or could) arguably also include:

Duke

Larkin

Robideau

Sinclair

Ferrari

Davino.

Both Duke and Davino have only one, very, very close loss in OT.  I'm not sure about the exact circumstances of the other respective solitary losses by the above guys.)

As we know, things can (and will) change quickly in the post-season.  It might be a good survey to revisit and reconstruct after conference tourneys and then NCAAs.

Hey everyone. First time poster. I
gotta go with Vega so far. I’m not sure what I expected from him, but outside of maybe Robideau, he has exceeded my expectations more than any one else going into this year. Really looking forward to March.

Welcome to the boards! If you’re really into food look for the Jimmy Cinnabon  post…they derail immediately. Other than that if you want wrestling discussion the others are where to go.

Yea I had to vote for Blaze as well…that resume is stupid. Arguably the most stacked weight class of them all and he just finds a way to get it done.

Thank you kindly. I’ve been lurking for a couple years and finally decided to post.
