For the record, one of the core arguments I - and Iranian protesters in general - have with regime supporters is pushing back against their “Death to America” slogan. We’ve argued with them about this countless times.

I was explaining their mindset and what that slogan means in their rhetoric. Then someone like you jumped in and said they preferred their "honest Death to America" over my explanation.

So I said, fine - if that’s what you want, then "Death to America".

There are plenty of Americans I genuinely admire. I’ve read their books multiple times. Why on earth would I wish death on them?
