Marmion Classic

[Tyler Perry]

Illinois is getting a tournament in with some BIG matches before thanksgiving tomorrow.

We have potential finals of

113: Caleb Noble vs MJ Rundell

150: Rocco Cassioppi vs Ashton Hobson/Knox Verbais

157: Wyatt Medlin vs Ethan Sonne

165: Liam Kelly vs Bruno Cassioppi

190: Jimmy Mastny vs Aaron Stewart (SUPER MATCH )

I believe the finals are streamed later on today on Illinois wrestler YouTube… but I’m not sure

Mastny ended up beating Stewart 4-1. Stewart just has a small frame for that weight at the highest level. Wardlow gave Medlin a tougher scrap than I anticipated and had a great semi win. Liam Kelly is an animal.

We may want to count our blessings that Stewart is not 2-3 inches taller, otherwise I do not think we would see him in collegiate wrestling.
