Honestly curious, can you share what you think are the best studies on this?

There are studies linked in this article and more in the articles linked at the bottom.

Even this is probably a drop in the bucket compared to increased diagnosis vigilance. Autism has always existed. The first diagnosis was in 1943, but that wasn't the first person in history to have autism. It's a relatively new diagnosis. Over time, the diagnosis criteria have changed and expanded as they've learned more and more about it.

Here's another way to look at it. Boys are 3x more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls. But it used to be 4x more likely. Is autism more prevalent in girls now than before? No. The diagnosis criteria have expanded as researches have learned more about how autism presents in girls.

There's no blood or genetic test for autism. It's a diagnosis based on behavior, which is inherently subjective, and there's a huge scale of severity. Today, a lot of people with extremely mild autism are getting diagnosed. A lot of what previously was understood as awkward or weird is now being labelled autism. One of my childhood friends just got diagnosed with Asperger's at 30 years old. He didn't just acquire it. He always had it. But it's been really helpful for him as he learns to navigate some of the social struggles he's always had.

The other negative affect of tying Tylenol to autism is all those out there that truly are ignorant or lacking intelligence (and there are a lot of people regardless of political leanings) that are going to refuse to give their children medicine when they have high fevers which can be severely damaging to brain development.

Same thing with vaccines. Measles is pretty bad for cognitive development!

If you're wondering why anybody would have a motive to ignore this well-documented correlation between older fathers and autism, consider this:

RFK Jr had 4 kids after the age of 40.

Trump had 3 after the age of 38. He was 60 when he had Barron.
