It’s a DQ from the tournament and DQ’s from the tournament results are erased. What I felt was wrong was just plugging the semi loser in. There is already a repechage set. Wrestle the repechage and bump up the medals. No one likes a final on a FF but in that scenario, that is the reality of what happened. You had one person standing unbeaten and within the rules.

Wasn’t the repechage process from the book too? There is of course precedent for courts ruling against “the book” though. The kid in Wisconsin that was DQ’ed but then allowed by a judge to wrestle comes to mind. Hopefully Vinesh has the Cornell lawyers
