New D2 program in NJ

Felician University In Bergen County is starting Men and Womens programs this upcoming season , they will be the only D2 program in the state

A one time teammate of mine Dale Fava who spent some time at lock haven before becoming a multi time D3 qualifier for Del Val has been named head coach this week. Fava was the real deal back in the day and lost to Jordan Burroughs in OT in the state semifinals Burroughs senior yr , I also watched him pin Pat Mineo in under a minute once lol

Fred Santaite a NJ state champ and multiple time NQ for Boston ( you may remember when he knocked off Nickerson the first night of ncaa many years ago ) has been named the assistant coach 

all and all great news, located in a very talent rich area and coached by local guys I would expect them to hit the ground running and am excited to see what the future holds.

They announced the coaching staff and that they are all good to move ahead and start competing yesterday  , that’s why I decided to make a post about it
