Crotalus Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I actually like criteria, but I also like the first OT period when guys are actually trying to score. I'd be fine with one 1 min OT period and if no one scores then it goes to criteria. It would be clear prior to OT who holds criteria and who needs to score. If criteria holder doesn't engage they will get called for stalling. Ride outs are always awful and need to be done away with.

It would encourage some aggressive wrestling in first OT if one wrestler is clearly never going to win the riding time battle. Also, be MORE aggressive call stalling in first OT so someone with big RT advantage cannot just back up for two minutes.
