Oh, yes it sure as hell is. The mismanagement of the funds isn't the fault of the workers. If the politicians raid a pension fund, the money needs to be replenished. If they signed a contract to be compensated a certain amount, the state/feds/municipality needs to pony up. It's basically illegal in most places to renig like that, and a moral outrage, but then again you aren't a person of integrity so this doesn't surprise me one bit.

Bullshit.  Find better people to manage the funds.  And ensure unions have absolutely zero to do with it. Otherwise union dues can be raised to cover it.

Send it electronically. Very simple. 99% of my mail is junk mail. We’ll make it up in what we save on killing trees. Better for the environment too, so I’m told by the tree huggers on here

Yes; find better people to manage the funds. We're all in agreement with that. Better yet, don't allow the scumbag wingers to raid pension funds. But if they do, there are consequences and the workers need to be made whole. If you agree to pay somebody, you pay them. It doesn't matter whether you made the agreement with a union or not. The workers accepted jobs based upon a promised compensation package.

They have no choice but to join the union which mismanages their funds. Get the money from the union not the taxpayers that had nothing to do with it.

Compensation changes for workers happen all the time.  Again if the union fucked it up they should be responsible. Not the taxpayers responsibility.
