Makes Shamsipour's loss to him at world's a lot better. But also how good is Sinclair and the Japanese guy that beat him. This guy is one to watch in the coming years for sure. He is only 20 years old...

Shamsipour has wrestled him three times

Lost 10-0, won 6-5, got pinned

just watched the Zahid match...

to be in the lead 11-6 with 1:30 to go then give up 2 TDs... not be able to hold position and a step out to go behind on criteria... YOLO brick to make it 12-11... then get behind with 6 seconds and not be able to break the quad pod...

if that match was 0.1 seconds longer zahid would have been stuck...

man...

i would like to say there are lessons to be learned, but, that lesson has been taught many times in the past and never stuck...

i did get some personal amusement watching several mat side officials rush out and tell Zo to get off the mat and go sit down...

the first time i met John Smith i was actually a little bit intimidated... i had not felt that emotion since i was a little kid...

i walked away and felt a little bit ashamed...

and i did not have near the understanding of who he was that i do now and i had known and hung out socially with quite a few world champs for years previous, so, it was not a feeling of being star struck or anything like that...

he is just truly different...

My buddy and I met him in Philly at the '25 NCAA's.  We were at the Rocky statue and saw him walk up.  He was very gracious and took a few pics with us.  He was the baddest man on the planet for my generation so to meet him was awesome!
