Wrestling Program Map - Past & Present

[cowcards]

Need a break from the portal? Here's an interactive map to play with.

Got tired of uploading data and created a map that has all the current and known programs that I've got record of in some way. I'm 100% sure this isn't all-inclusive, so if you know of some, let me know. One of the things I am working on is historical rosters and results; as I find teams, I will add them in, along with active years and previous names.

Much thanks goes to @Jason Bryant and his dropped program database for filling in the many, many gaps in dropped programs.

This is super slick, Robert!! Thank you!

I'm committed to doing nothing at work on Monday except going through this!

And for the heck of it. A history of weight classes graph:

And a team scoring system history chart or whatever you want to call it.

And All-Time state scoring by state at D1s

WOW!! Great stuff! Thank you!!
PA with an enormous historic scoring lead, nearly 5000 pts. Not surprised to see PA at #1, little shocked on the size of the gap. Also a little surprised to see IA and OK so high, but then I played the racing bars over time and as I expected it’s a lot of historic scoring from way way back and a less steep trajectory in more modern times. I’d expect CA, NJ, OH, IL to continue to knock them down further.

Damn. A lot more programs that got dropped in my state than I knew about.
