St Paris has a few in coaching Steibler at Ohio state , Brascetta at Maryland , Heil was coaching until this most recent Olympic run I think he ll be back in a D1 room sooner then later , NATO was on the duke staff until 2 years ago I know he has his own academy but good chance he jumps back In at some point

Stieber, Heil, and Nato did not attend SPG. You might be confusing some of these people with Jeff Jordan's club. I did not know about Brascetta at Maryland, though. Good call.

Brooks isn’t leaving NLWC and Nickal is in the UFC.

Seems the rumors are Gilman is likely going and Kennedy.  Who knows after that.

I do think Marinelli could be a good coach, and seems like a good candidate to start up a weekly Bible study that could rival PSU’s.  I think he’d be an interesting hire so that it’s not all PSU guys.  He and Taylor both graduated from the same high school right?

Yes, but a big enough age gap where it makes it irrelevant(guessing). I do not think Taylor has many roots in Saint Paris after graduating. I believe his family moved to State College. Honestly, there aren't any other Saint Paris Graham kids in college coaching besides Bo Jordan - who I did see Taylor use as a drill partner often when they were younger and smaller.

I know but I'm not sure I would take the word of a clout chasing bozo years ago after his actions contradicted that same claim.

I'm making the same point as you, you're just trying to disagree. He said he would go to heavyweight after winning NCAAs and then did not do it the next year. It's been multiple years since he said it and he is still smaller than an undersized heavyweight, hence my statement. The kid has worked his ass of for his physique, clearly, but not sure his genetics will let him get much bigger during his athletic years. He is going to fight 205 I would guess. He would need to give up on being lean to become a heavyweight. Wikipedia has him as 6 foot tall, which means he is likely not even 6 foot

Here's another dose for ya. Is this Ben Kueter he's training with? Hmmmm

Kueter is kinda in front of AJ, but AJ is never growing into heavyweight just looking at the difference in size. It will take years and he won't be wrestling in his late 20s. Hell, he may never wrestle in his 20s outside of the soldier salute.

What will PSU’s lineup look like next year? my guess…

    125- Lilledahl

    133- Davis / Nagao

    141- Bartlett

    149- SVN

    157- Kasak

    165- Haines

    174- MM / Facundo

    184- Barr

    197- Starocci

    285- Mirasola (Kerk?)

Some stud is gonna miss out on a year of eligibility. Haines has to stay down at 157 and Kasak needs to redshirt. Haines might need to use a redshirt if he wants to go up to give Messenebrink an extra year to grow into 174.

  6. It's an interesting route for sure. It will never happen again. You gotta keep up with the times and the cutting edge by being in the room. Assistant coaches do a lot, but the head coach needs to know how to manage the room, not the admin responsibilities. You have to be able to organize, motivate, and build culture. If you're worried about admin stuff the whole time, you could be lacking in important areas.

he "liked" a tweet asking him when he's taking over at wisconsin.

That is wild. I cannot imagine he would give up the amazing thing he has built at AWA. What would be the AWA succession plan there? But how cool would it be if he just brought his brother with him. Keckeisen and O'Toole as RTC athletes for the next quad. You could also imagine some of his current AWA guys would flip on their commitments. Its a bunch of ifs. It is not going to happen.

I don't see Askey taking a spot away from either...

Damn autocorrect. I do not think the Buckeyes should try too hard to land Askey. He is not a big improvement, and time would be better spent on other people that may show up in the portal.

I am hearing Oakley (App St) to North Carolina and Askey App St: between Ohio St and Minnesota

Buckeyes have Paddy Gallagher. One of them would need to go 165

Ryan talks all high and mighty but the amount of shenanigans that happened with bringing in McKenna is worse then all this Michigan NIL money, not to mention Tashon Campbell announced he was transferring to Ohio state literally the day after ncaas a few years back

Tell me about the McKenna shenanigans?

    What is this joke about?

No joke.  The Ferraris are working with Iowa to design their weight room.  Nobody knows more about lifting than A.J, and his father.

I can't imagine this is true. Also, unsure if you're a troll. I think I have seen you defending AJ before.

  12. Yeah, Snyder is an anomaly. I'm happy to admit I am wrong. Did Bastida and Davison weigh less than 230? And what did Caesar weigh? Aside from Snyder, we don't usually see college heavyweights go down to 97kg. Again, happy to admit I am wrong here, but I can't think of anyone. Even if you are small heavyweight, you commit to staying big and don't go down to 97kg. I hope Carroll looks great next week. I am a fan, I just thought he would be an immediate threat at heavyweight next year with a lot of guys graduating.

What is concerning about someone cutting significant weight for OkSt? It has delivered Smith championships at the NCAA and senior level for decades (read above)

Concerning that your heavyweight is going 97kg. If he is not going heavyweight, then it is not concerning. Being small at heavyweight can be a liability.
