Some interesting tidbits about Arash Yoshida. Only 22 years old. He's Iranian/Japanese. His father is a former Iranian wrestler (Javed Esfanjani). Left Iran and started a wrestling club (Ichikawa Koshti Club) outside of Tokyo. Where Arash and his brothers trained in traditional Iranian wrestling techniques. Another wrestler for Japan (Keyvan Gharedhdaghi) also has an Iranian father and Japanese mother and won the Asian Championships this year at 79kg in his first major senior tournament beating Olympic Champion Zhamalov. He also recently took Silver at the U20 Worlds. Unfortunately he had to pull out of the Senior Worlds due to a knee injury. Not sure if he trains at the same club at Arash Yoshida. *Shared from another.
