I'm an SDSU guy, super hyped on the win, but I'll agree with a little perspective here.
SDSU's competed with them (and Nebraska) in the recent past.
125 - Jory's probably the bettter wrestler here.....BUT.... Brady got him in a last second takedown, in less impressive fashion than his Winn Dixie against the MO kid. He won and that's what matters. Watched a bunch of Jory at Wyoming and I'm not too shocked. Roark's good.
133 - We're not too competitive with our backup here, although it remains to bee seen how much of a dropoff seaton is from our starter (i like seaton)
141 - Tagg's a legit AA threat. He's a better wrestler all day
149 - Our backup held, but lost. I'd like to have seen our MInn transfer wrestler, Martin, start here. I hope he gets his chance one day, but it's still a tossup.
157 - Swensen's first big match since his ACL and he won. He's the better wrestler when healthy so glad he won.
165- Rhodes may not wrestle this year, so Marcus will have to step up. Held center well, but Sparks should've scored better here.
174 - I want Moses to find his inner Patrick Kennedy (the undersized, all out pace guy) He beats Ethan Riddle in a close one. Is Whiting redshirting?
184 - McEnnely - I've watched Max for a few years in MN wrestling. Absolutely rooting for him in the NCAA's. Fettig had no shot here
197 - Good to see Berge rideout a guy when he's going up a weight, but not much else happened here.
HWT - Anyone can beat Rasmussen, but there's only a few guys he can lose to. Welcome to SDSU wrestling.
