  1. I agree - Kansas City was awesome. Power and Light district made for a great time and some pretty interesting people watching Saturday night post-finals (if you were at Big Sky, you know what I’m talking about). Tons of hotels within walking distance. The scooters, the trolley, etc. all made it great. While I was most excited for the bbq, my favorite spot had to be Town Topic. Ended up there every day. Great burgers, heard the breakfast was excellent as well After eating at most of the bbq places that were recommended my rankings are as follows: 1. LC’s 2. Jack Stack 3. Q39 4. Char Bar 5. Joe’s KC BBQ
  2. I feel bad for a lot of the six and seven year guys, but it’s safe to say that experiment didn’t really work.
  3. BBQ Update: LC’s was great. A little ways out of town, but worth it. Joe’s is mediocre. A little ways out of town, and not worth it. Jack Stack is good. More of a sit down place. Good vibe. Q39 is next place on the list if our buddies will let us.
  4. Watched a lot of the D2 tourney last weekend. Way too many stall calls. Guy that was winning almost always got hit late. Saw a guy get hit for stalling while sitting corner to lose in quarters. What was he supposed to do?
  5. I have not attended an NCAA tournament since before Covid. Do they still do headsets? I thought I read that they did away with them in past few years. I thought they were incredibly helpful. Anyone know if they will have them at KC?
  6. Yes it does - it’s a logical way of separating Carr and KOT. Guarantee neither Carr or KOT cares about being the #1 seed. They both want to be separated from the other more than they want that to be seeded 1.
  7. Forgot about that - yes, for sure.
  8. Do you guys not see the irony in complaining about a hypothetical regarding how Christians might complain if a hypothetical interview occurred? Christians aren’t on here complaining when others give non-religious interviews. KOT’s message was incredibly positive and respectful of his opponent. The sport needs more of that.
  9. I agree. If Carr has to be #4 due to loss to Ramirez, make MM #1 and KOT #2.
  10. Little Rock with at least two champs. What a great job those coaches have done!
  11. I love it. KOT has wisdom well beyond his years.
  12. LOL Ferrari bros were in Tampa suburbs. Those stories are 100% true.
  13. I’m telling you guys - he’s not in. It’s not even close. He is living in Orlando and not wrestling.
  14. The rumors that he is out at WWE couldn’t be more wrong. He is still training with them in Orlando.
  15. Wow that sounds awful! Good luck with accommodations! Can’t wait until this summer!
  16. I strongly recommend booking a hotel over AirBnb. Many AirBnb hosts are canceling on their guests. Some people say wait on booking hotel because more will open up as it gets close, but who knows. Flights are still plentiful and not that bad. There is a great Facebook group, “Paris 2024 Olympics Planning & Preparation,” that has been incredibly helpful in planning.
  17. Is that face value for the suite or is there some markup going on? I have been interested in the past but had it in my head as about $1200-$1500 per person.
  18. It’s interesting, some of the lesser sports e.g. “dressage” are incredibly difficult tickets, in addition to obvious things like gymnastics and swim. Every sport has their own group of hardcore fans much like wrestling. There is also a group of people that seems to attend “every” Olympics. For Paris it looks like the “Concorde Urban Project” has become a hot ticket. This is where they do skateboarding, BMX, and I think breakdancing. Probably the novelty. The IOC has seemed to be doing a good job controlling scalping and reselling, with the only tickets available so far being through them at face value. Tickets weren’t cheap, but were fair.
  19. I have tickets for Paris 2024. Entered a lottery about a year ago and won. I think pretty much everyone won. Bought everything available at the time. During the initial sale they make you buy multiple sports, so I grabbed women’s soccer and sailing as well. New tickets would pop up every couple months and I grabbed the sessions I was missing. No such thing as an all sessions pass like NCAA’s. Have section B and C for prelims and section A for all gold medal FS finals. Going to be a good time. Hoping to go to LA in 2028 as well. I imagine transportation and planning will be much easier. Hardest thing for Paris has been lodging. Had to prepay for a hotel over a year ago.
