Stanford is at 135.5 now . Does anyone know if all the team points were deducted from the DQ/? I looked at score shortly after match and team score was 135. It doesn't appear the points were deducted.
-
Agreed . Maybe he will figure it out and be sincere. You only get so many chances in life before you burn down all your bridges.
-
I had not looked through the whole thread . I didn't see that there was an actual list of the voters. I was just messing with Weehawken by saying other teams would encourage Iowa to take in the Ferrari Clan.
-
At least 100 of the yes's are from other schools. They really think the Ferrari's would be a great fit for Iowa.
-
I'm sure that other schools thought about it. About 2 seconds and said no. The risk would be to great for the amount of damage they would incur.
-
I agree. Unacceptable.

It would have been a great time to come forth with an apology in a live video setting. He could have said," I have done a lot of stupid things in the last few years of which I am not proud of and I apologize for. But what I did yesterday was incredibly stupid and immature. I would like to sincerely apologize for my actions" Then he could go on a humbly explain his plan to be a better person .

Will the double bird splits become a thing?

He also has the Queen song playing in the background. But he changed the lyrics slightly to I am the champion of the world. -
He no longer is a billionaire. I just checked Forbes and they have him at 880 million now . One of his main stocks plummeted 31 precent since September. Ouch!! He was at 1.1 billion previously. What's the scoop on how he made his money?

You have your opinion and I have mine. It seems that there is a chance that you just like to argue. I could be wrong. So I will ask you one more time. Do you think Vivek is ready for the most powerful position in the entire world? That would be yes or no. You are not required to give any reason why.
-
I really believe you should have honored my request first. I'm a little offended.. Christy .NO!!!!!! Nikki .Not so Much. Ok, since there really aren't any other viable candidates, I will go with Desantis. 1. He has experience running a large state. 2. He is doing a good job. 3. He is a conservative. 3a. He has a good understanding of how screwed up Washington DC is 4. He has a good understanding of the Constitution. 5. He has a good understanding of Americas role and responsibility in World affairs. 6.He doesn't have as much baggage as Donald Trump 7. He has great respect for Military soldiers and their families. 8 He will pick Kristi Noem as his running mate. 9. He will beat Old Joe and kick his butt back to Delaware for good. Now I hope that is sufficient.
-
So do you honestly think Vivek is ready for the most powerful position in the entire world? If so, could you give a list of reasons why. Maybe only 4 or 5.
-
You can't be serious. Vivek does have the gift of gab just like any good salesman or politician. The problem is he doesn't have any history of accomplishing anything at the local, state or federal level. Maybe he should first be a Mayor or a Governor first. I think he would learn a lot. Politics is a different animal than being a CEO of a company.

True. Midlands used to be one hell of a tournament.

Jimmy Carter caused the demise of America

There were a lot of dairy farms where I lived in Ohio . They were able to survive. But most of the Dairy farms are gone now. Farming sure has changed the last 40 years. -

The must have been a really difficult job at the time. How bad was it when you visited the communities. Can I ask what state you were in. How were the yields? Do you go back every year for harvest? I'm considering volunteering to work with Farm Rescue out of North Dakota. I will have to get up with some of the local farmers to get up to speed on the newer equipment. -

In both of my statements I said a contributing factor. I'm sure you read that. They had an opportunity to help the agriculture community. Which i think would take precedent over punishing Russia. I'm sure you know Carters family were farmers but mostly raised peanuts which was not affected by the grain embargo. I'm curious, did the PBS documentary mention what the Carter administration should have done to advert the situation.. -

There were problems looming in the horizon that they could have addressed. But instead of helping they poured gas onto the small fire in the wastebasket and burnt down the entire house. By chance are you in the agriculture industry (farming)? -
Jimmy Carter caused the demise of America

Ok . We will go slow here. Jimmy Carter the man was a good man. DID I say anything different? OK. I was very critical of President Carter and his Advisors decision to put a grain embargo on Russia. By putting a grain embargo on Russia to punish them he also punished the American farmer. They put Zero thought into how their decision might adversely affect the thousands of farmers across America. Did you actually read what I wrote? Have you ever read up on how devasting the Farm Crisis of the 80"s was? There were no policies put in place to stabilize the prices or to compensate farmers for their loses. Interests rates went sky high and money was frozen by lending institutions. So President Carter and his advisors were big contributing factors to the Farm Crisis of the 80's. Like many of the other farmers who lost their farms I also lost my farm. I don't expect you to understand. You did not experience it and It did not affect you or any one you know in any way. -
To whom ? Why?

Jimmy Carter caused the demise of America
Paul158 replied to JimmyBT's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
We were talking about Jimmy Carter. It is personal with me. I was 25 at the time. Farmed abut 150 acres in my spare time. I wish I knew ahead of time what they were doing I would have not planted any crops. To say the least it was a very difficult time for myself and other farmers. If you read my other posts I am not a big fan of wars , especially Vietnam. One of Americas biggest blunders . You may have read my son and 3 son in-laws are serving in the military. All fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Only one of them got injured . By an IED while in a hummer in Iraq. He is doing ok now. I will be happy to answer any of your other questions. -

I would say Jimmy Carter and his advisors really blew it when they decided to punish Russia with a grain embargo. The agriculture community at the time was already struggling and needed some help or attention from the federal government in a positive way. But President Carter and his advisors decided to impose a grain embargo. We were exporting 20 percent of our grain to Russia at the time. By doing so they greatly contributed to the Farm Crisis of the 80's. It was devastating. Grain prices plummeted by 40 percent causing tens of thousands of farms to go bankrupt. Most of the farms were generational farms. They had been their family's for decades. President Carter was a major factor.
