Those media days are run by the University of Iowa. USAW has no control over it. HawkeyeSports does the video and provides it to the media.

I don't care who has control, but can someone get a microphone to the reporters face?

You're not wrong, but I want to make it clear that it isn't the fault of USAW or TheMat in this instance. I'll drop a note to their comms office to see if that is even available (which it is, I've seen them do it before, I've held the mic in those pressers before).

No Jayson I'm not blaming anyone it's just that's where I found the interview is all. But anything you or someone can do would be greatly appreciated by myself and many others I presume.

I asked them and they only have things mic’d up there for NCAA events (and the occasional USAW). They claim the producer could amp up the audio on their end - and they will pass the information through.
