Ohio State absolutely blasted the MD Terps, 38-6. Several ranked starters from both teams out of the lineup, including Heinselman, Ethan Smith, North, and Jaxon Smith.

149: No. 2 Sammy Sasso major dec. (12-1) No. 20 Ethen Miller (Ohio State 4, Maryland 0)

Sasso dominated Miller from start to finish, and may have scored the fall if he had about 10 more seconds on the clock at the end of the match.

157: No. 19 Paddy Gallagher TF (22-5) Kevin Schork (Ohio State 9, Maryland 0)

Gallagher looked like he was drilling against North's backup.

165: No. 8 Carson Kharchla dec. (7-2) John Martin Best (Ohio State 12, Maryland 0)

Kharchla did not look sharp against a sub-.500 opponent, but he was never in any danger.

174: Issac Wilcox SV dec. (3-1) No. 33 Dominic Solis (Ohio State 15, Maryland 0)

Low score, but lots of action. Solis took it to OT after a critical challenge and reversal, but it wasn't enough.

184: No. 4 Kaleb Romero TF (22-7) Chase Mielnik (Ohio State 20, Maryland 0)

Romero toyed with Mielnik.

197: No. 18 Gavin Hoffman wins by forfeit (Ohio State 26, Maryland 0)

No Jaxon Smith; not sure why MD didn't send out a backup.

HWT: No. 14 Tate Orndorff dec. (3-1) No. 25 Jaron Smith (Ohio State 29, Maryland 0)

Close match, but Orndorff had just enough to score a 3rd period TD.

125: No. 12 Braxton Brown fall (1:55) Brendan McCrone (Ohio State 29, Maryland 6)

Brown was headed to a tech but scored a fall on his second cradle attempt.

133: No. 9 Jesse Mendez fall (2:30) Conner Quinn 2:30 (Ohio State 35, Maryland 6)

Quinn has had a rough season. It didn't get any better tonight.

141: No. 15 Dylan D'Emilio dec. (6-3) No. 33 Kal Miller (Ohio State 38, Maryland 6)

D'Emilio was never in any type of danger and was in control the entire match.

The Terps have made progress, but the reality of the Big 10 came crashing in on them tonight. Upside: Standing room only in The Pavilion. Nice to see the support.

It’s the haves and have nots, in this conference.  And by a wide margin. Won’t change any time soon.  Don’t mean the Marylands aren’t a good tream
