Petition to Allow Middle Schools to Wrestle Varsity in Sioux Falls, SD

Recommended Posts

Posted

The state of South Dakota allows middle school athletes to participate in varsity wrestling. The city of Sioux Falls has put up red tape, not allowing middle school athletes to wrestle. This is a new rule that has been imposed this season. Kids that were wrestling varsity as 7th graders are not relegated to middle school only competition, while the rest of the state allows middle school wrestlers the opportunity to compete at the varsity level. Please consider signing the petition to show support. The impact will be lasting if this rule is not changed. Elite wrestlers will open enroll or move out of Sioux Falls and it will kill the wrestling scene.
