Brock Mantanona is probably like the third most talented overall wrestler on the team... I heard he's dominating saldate and his bro Beau in the room all day but they chose to leave the shirt on them he had like five or six top 15 wins earlier in the season so he should be really good next year and then I'm sure his brother will move up to 174 and I think that Catrabone is going to be better than Gilcher...Walters is 16-5 internments this year and should be much better at 184 than bullock...We get Ragusin back... so next year should be a little better if not it's definitely on the coaching
Yeah I don't understand that either when his training partner is micic... you would think you would get a lot better with that kind of training partner
The next two years they got real good recruiting classes coming in so if they don't get better in the next three years or so I think it's time to get a new coach
It's worth a shot...I also think Brock should be in at 157 there's no way he's not beaten chase at practice he's got to be the top three overall on the team I bet he beats his brother every time they wrestle he seemed like a well seasoned Vet in the matches he wrestled this year and a couple were against some decent ranked guys
They got some guys on the lineup That Could get hot and make decent runs in the ncaas but they're not a good duel roster but they're recruiting classes in the next two years are loaded so hopefully they get back where they were the last few years
Beau is usually trying to score like a machine all match but tonight it just seems like everyone's dead even Lemley didn't look like his normal offensive self I don't know what's going on with this team
This is bad they don't know how to get takedowns this has to be a coaching thing it seems like the only take Downs other than Mason and Myles came from transfers the last couple years ...our coaches aren't teaching offensive wrestling even Lemley hasnt progressed but rather looks like he took steps backwards in just one year from being a very offensive wrestler to doing nothing now through a lot of matches
Time to bench Chase and take the red shirt off Brock at 157 Brock is much better than Chase I guarantee he needs to be in the lineup he was killing it before they set him down
These Michigan four timers just don't seem as tough as they were 10 years ago and whatnot Logan Massa was never getting techfalled his red shirt freshman year heck I think he only lost three matches and took third now we got four timers getting destroyed
That minute scramble broke Sergio he had three I can't believe they didn't throw the brick but Hardy has his number but if he would have got that first three which I swear he had it... it may have won a different way but Hardy is tough
Hwt: Heindselman makes quick work with a 22-5 tech fall over Morley in the final bout. Scored six takedowns and a four-point near fall at the first-period buzzer. He remains perfect at 14-0; his eighth tech fall this season. Michigan 26, Northwestern 10
197: Cardenas earns a 16-6 major decision with three takedowns and four back points. He improves to 10-0 with 10 bonus wins and locks up the dual win for Blue.
184: Bullock earns a 5-0 decision over Halvorsen. First-period takedown, was gunning for another late, drew a stall point but came up just short of the major.
174: Walker secures the 11-1 major decision over Vandenbush. Three takedowns, including a double leg with :12, and 1:02 riding time. Gives Michigan its first lead tonight. Michigan 14, Northwestern 10
165: Mantanona earns a 4-3 decision over #18 Mayyfield. Reversal and near fall in the second. Nearly had a takedown on the edge in the third, coaches challenged but it's upheld. Good win for Beau.
