Beard was not the starter because Cael benched him instead of trying to develop him. But I will play the game a little, how about Alex Facundo? Isn’t he supposed to be a top tier wrestler and isn’t he entering the portal? I could be wrong but I believe he is. Where is the loyalty? Seth Nevills? Wasn’t good enough in Cael’s eyes so instead of trying to develop him further, he recruits over him and benched him. He walks into these kids homes, tells their parents everything they want to hear like, he will be in the best hands and I will take good care of your child and once someone better comes along…sorry, you got to go. Keep in mind I am not saying Cael does not have the right to do it but to try and say he isn’t loyal is unfair as well.

Until an A. C. Slater wants to rebel against his dad, skip the military and wrestle for a PSU team, you really haven’t done crap. Once that happens, come talk to me about how hated a fan base is. Their fans do make it unbearable this time of year but I also dislike them because Cael. He has done nothing to help grow the sport and some would say his actions have hurt the sport more than anything. He is one of the most disloyal coaches around and would cut his own grandma if it meant making his team a little better. There has always been a great debate on who develops their guys better and I would make an argument that Cael would rather cut his guys than help them develop. Of course I know this is all within his rights but he just seems like a complete tool.

I wish Schwab had more money there at UNI. He always seems to get the best out of his wrestlers come this time of year. It would be cool to see what he might be able to do if he could get some top level recruits.

You've already made this post! Yes, Iowa paid money for wrestlers who are only going to get them 1 point. Yes, PSU is still a giant and went 20-0. And I will take care of this right now as I am sure at some point you are going to bring up Spencer because you can't seem to keep his name out of your mouth for more than 20 second. Spencer is not going to coach Iowa anytime soon. But honestly, has PSU really overperformed? Yes, going 20-0 is unheard of but isn't their lowest seed an 8 seed and he is right where he belongs. Now, if he wins today you can say he overperformed but right now, they are all right where they belong. I would say teams like Nebraska and Lehigh have had really good showings. So maybe talk about them and stop repeating your posts. And when you really think about it, how much is Iowa "underperforming"? Only one guy you mentioned, Parco, has kind of laid an egg but it seems like he is really injured so how much of this is his fault. Yes Iowa paid money for Teemer BUT he was only an 18 seed and he wasn't supposed to go far anyway according to the seeds. Cruz - Wasn't supposed to do much and he didn't Ayala - right where he is supposed to be Caliendo - Stud and probably walks to a Championship if it wasn't for MM. Didn't Iowa do this in 08 or 09? I believe one of those years when they won 3 straight they didn't have an individual winner. Am I wrong with that? I believe that was the year Metcalf lost to Caldwell.
