Job Description: The person selected will assist all facets of the wrestling program including Instruction and coaching student-athletes, practice planning, scheduling, travel arrangements, video coordination, fundraising and promotions, and assist and monitor student-athletes academic progress. In addition, identify and recruit academically qualified and athletically talented student athletes, and establish and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, administrators, alumni, and the public. Finally, comply with all rules and regulations of CSU Bakersfield, the Pac- I2, and the NCAA.
Minimum Qualifications: • First Aid/CPR Certification • Bachelor's Degree • Demonstrate teamwork and team building skills • Demonstrate priority setting and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: • Master's Degree • Minimum of three years of successful wrestling coaching experience • Experience at the Division I level is highly recommended • Knowledge of Division I compliance with the Policies and rules of the University, NCAA, and the Pac-12 Conference • Ability to fundraise to support the community funded program Background Check: A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
