I'm curious of how this has evolved over the years.

When I participated there was the optional start method at the beginning of a period or from a restart situation.

Later, wrestlers were able to signal to the ref to go neutral without having to go to referee's position.

I didn't participate collegiately but attended some events and noticed that wrestlers will let someone loose after that minute of riding time has been met.

Who has some of the best intentional escape technique presently?
