All military personnel with a valid Military ID will receive free admission and all family members will receive a discounted ticket price ($3.00). The tickets must be preordered through the UNI athletics website (www.unipanthers.com). Individuals should click on the Tickets link and then click Promotions. The promo code is WRESPROMO1.
The UNI ROTC will present the colors prior to the match. UNI wrestlers will be wearing UNI camouflaged singlets in honor of our soldiers in the armed forces. Following the meet, each singles will be featured on an online auction on the Panthers' website. The money raised through the auction will go toward Second Lieutenant Brian Gienau's memorial fund to build a fallen soldier memorial to be placed on the UNI campus. Gienau was a 2003 graduate of UNI, who was killed Feb. 27, 2005 while on active duty.
During the meet's intermission there will be a special recognition of Gienau. Also during the ceremony, the crowd will be informed more about the singlet auction as to when and how they can bid on the singlets.
