    Scott eliminated from Fila Jr. World Championships

    GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala -- Oklahoma State junior wrestler Coleman Scott lost his first match at the Fila Jr. World Championships yesterday and was eliminated in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

    Scott wrestled Jack Bond from Canada in his opening bout. Scott won the first period, but lost the second period before suffering an ankle injury and being forced to default.

    Scott was eliminated from the championships when Bond failed to reach the gold medal round.

    The Waynesburg, Pa. native will bump up a weight and wrestle at 133 pounds for the Cowboys after two All-America finishes at 125 the past two seasons.

    Wrestling Practices officially begins on Monday, Sept. 11.
