CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Oregon State's wrestling team will hold its annual Intrasquad Meet on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Gill Coliseum. The top two wrestlers at each weight will meet in best-of-three matchups to determine the Beavers' tentative lineup for a season-opening trip to Hofstra and the Cornell Tournament on Nov. 17-19.

There will also be a number of exhibition matches between wrestlers below the top two spots on the depth chart in each weight class. Admission to the meet is free.

OSU returns eight starters from last season's team, including five who placed at the Pacific-10 Championships. Junior Jeremy Larson (Hermiston, Ore./Hermiston HS) was second at 174 pounds, senior Tony Hook (Sandpoint, Ida./Sandpoint HS) was third at 157 pounds, junior Dan Pitsch (Tacoma, Wash./Spanaway Lake HS) was fourth at 184 pounds and moves up to 197 this season, junior Ty Watterson (Enumclaw, Wash./Enumclaw HS) was fourth at heavyweight, and junior Eric Stevenson (Newberg, Ore./Newberg HS) was sixth at 125 pounds.

Larson is ranked 20th in the nation in the InterMat/National Wrestling Coaches Association rankings, while Watterson is ranked 17th by Amateur Wrestling News and 15th by IM/NWCA.

Oregon State's first home meet of the regular season will be Dec. 9 against Oregon.
