    No. 1 Clackamas wins two to improve to 4-0

    OREGON CITY, Ore. -- The Clackamas Community College wrestling team won both conference match ups on Friday night in dominant fashion against West Region foes Highline College and Southwestern Oregon Community College. The Cougars posted 30 points in each dual with seven wrestlers picking up victories against Highline and six wrestlers picking up victories against Southwestern Oregon. Fans got to see a few new Cougars in action who performed well in front of a good Randall Hall crowd.

    "Our guys competed very hard tonight and we were happy to see some new faces get mat time in both duals tonight. We will get a bit of rest this weekend and finish up finals next week before a couple of very big duals in Idaho against tough North Idaho and Northwest Wyoming squads," said Coach Josh Rhoden. "We have some gains to continue to make and a few adjustments to get where we want to be," he added.

    Both teams in next week’s contest are ranked in the top 10 in the NJCAA Coaches Association poll and will be very good tests for the Cougars. The meet starts at noon next Saturday December 13 on the campus of North Idaho College with the 2nd contest beginning at 2pm.
