Makovsky is in his 16th season as the head wrestling coach at Minnesota State-Mankato. His teams have placed in the top ten at the NCAA Division II tournament 11 times, including a runner-up finish at last year's tournament.
Minnesota State-Mankato, currently ranked third, will host top-ranked Nebraska-Omaha at Bresnan Arena on Friday, Feb. 6.
